Name: Emma
Age: 4 yrs
Sex: Female
Weight: 19 lbs
Altered: Yes
Previous Life: Breeder Release
Good with dogs/cats/kids: Yes and adopter must have another dog/Yes/Uknown
Likes: She loves faux antler bones and flatter cloth/stuffed toys
Dislikes: Loud noises/sudden movements. She will sometimes dribble a little pee when picked up or pancake on the ground when you reach for her, but mostly she just wants to join in when excitement is happening
House-trained: Occasional accidents when stressed (if she’s free roaming and can’t find her humans) or if there’s a spot where other dogs have marked.
Crate trained: She goes into her crate at night with little complaint, but does not love being in it during the day and does not settle if people are home and she’s still in it.
Fenced yard required: Yes, required. She will probably walk well on a leash in time, but she has not yet learned to do that and she sure does love sniffing the backyard.
Special Needs/Notes: She is very anxious when her people are gone or when they’re around, but she’s not able to follow them. Her nasolacrimal ducts are plugged which may or may not ever cause issues regarding the eyes according to the vet.
Emma is an absolute dream. She is a healthy girl, but the vet has noted that her nasolacrimal ducts are plugged, which may or may not ever cause issues regarding the eyes in the future. An ideal day for Emma would be breakfast, a little running around outside in the backyard, back inside for a few hours of couch cuddles with her humans and a resident dog or two, a midday break for a dental stick and more running around outside, a little play time with a bone or small stuffy, and then about nine more hours of couch time with dinner thrown in the mix.
Emma has made friends with all sorts of humans and dogs of all sizes, male and female. She has not met young kids, but would do okay with dog savvy kids who don’t startle her by grabbing for her unexpectedly. Emma would do best in a home with at least one human home the majority of the time as she experiences separation anxiety when she is alone. She would thrive with another dog who loves to snuggle and she’s taken to playing with two of her foster siblings, one around her size and one 3x her size, so she can be counted on for a little of that as well! She does not care about cats, so she would do fine with them.
Emma is the sweetest, softest pug who’s just looking to live out her days as a spoiled companion. If you’re looking for a couch potato who wants to spend all her time with you, snuggling or getting in a quick play session, Emma is your girl.
