Name: Myles
Age: 2 yrs
Sex: Male
Weight: 22 lbs
Altered: Yes
Previous Life: Breeder Release
Good with dogs/cats/kids: Yes, and will need another dog in the home around his size/Unknown, but if cat doesn’t interact with him, he likely won’t pay attention. Just need to be mindful that he doesn’t realize his size and when he is excited, he will knock others out of the way/Older children only. Myles does not realize his size so no small children as he may knock them over when excited
Likes: Bully sticks (with supervision), anything he can chew on, toys, and treats. Loves to snuggle with his foster mom and loves to be in the bed any chance he can get.
Dislikes: Myles is still skittish with loud noises or sudden movements but is getting better
House-trained: Myles has no issues as long as he has a routine. He does need someone supervising him outside as he will refuse to go potty unless foster mom stays with him and prompts him to go.
Crate trained: He doesn’t care for it but we’ve been working on it. He will not sleep overnight in it.
Fenced yard required: Yes, a fenced yard is a must for Myles.
Special needs: Myles is unable to go downstairs on his own. He is able to go down a couple of stairs but more than that, he does need to be carried down stairs. This is due to the fold on his face and he not able to see directly down in front of him. He is able to go up stairs with no problems.
Meet Myles, a charming 2-year-old pug who’s ready to find his forever home! Myles came to us as a breeder release and has since made incredible progress. After surgery to improve his breathing and shedding some extra pounds, he’s now living his best life—full of snuggles, treats, toys, and love.
Myles is still getting the hang of leash walking but is happy to be your companion—unless it’s too cold, then he’s all about cozying up indoors. He’s a social pup who thrives with another dog to show him the ropes and snuggle with. Myles would do best in a home with a sturdy, similarly sized dog and a securely fenced yard, as he’s a bit of a speedy adventurer. Please note, for stairs, Myles is able to go up stairs, but does need help getting down. He can go down a couple of stairs outside, but needs help for more than a couple of stairs. So if stairs is required to get around, he will need to be carried down stairs.
With a clean bill of health, plenty of energy, and a heart full of sweetness, Myles is ready to bring joy to your home. Could he be the perfect addition to your family?
Due to the high frequency of applicants, NOT ALL pre-screening emails will be responded to. PPN does not allow pugs to be shipped as cargo. For approved out-of-state adoptions requiring airfare, the pug must fit in an airline-approved sized carrier that can fit under the seat. Out-of-state adopters must arrange for transport; in some cases, we may have volunteers able to help.
